June 2007
Wow where has the time gone?  I’ve always had my parents tell me as you get older the time seems to get shorter.  Now I understand what they meant..  Seems like just yesterday I was working on our last news letter and it’s hard to realize its been several months.  Things have been going great  for  us.  We  have  had  some  great  services in the last  few months

going into a lot of new churches and meeting some really great fans.

We got to sing in my neighborhood in February and wow what a sing.  It was my first time to get to see the new building at Lusk Assembly of God.  They have a beautiful building there.  We went to Mobile on the next weekend to the J.C. Davis Auditorium to sing with several groups including the DIXIE ECHOES.  It was great to see them again and I think they get better each time we get to work with them.  The next weekend we went to Excel, Alabama to sing for a child with cancer.  That was a special service to say the least.  The highlight of the service was when they brought the child to the singing to meet everyone.

Later in the month of March we were at 1st Baptist Church in Citronelle for a RELAY FOR LIFE benefit concert.  We don’t do a lot of benefit concerts because of the expenses but from time to time we can arrange one.  That night the concert was a GAITHER style singing and it was video recorded on a DVD so we could have them to sell at a later date.  They are now available by calling or emailing us for info.

We did not schedule any dates in April so we could work on a new project.  It was fun to go back to the studio again with Randy Shelnut.  I love to sing in his studio and see what miracles he can perform with our projects.  I must say he did a great job again.  Our new project is back and its great.

The beginning of May found us back at one of our favorite churches to sing at.  Bethel Baptist Church in Mobile.  We always have a great time when we are there, and man they love to eat when its over.  The next day found us back at BOBBY’S home church for homecoming at Midway Methodist Church in Midway Alabama.  We got to sing at the Creek Bank Singing the next week and sang with a group from South Carolina called THE SINGING CHRISTIANS.  We had more than a sing that night..  WE HAD CHURCH!  Those folks could really sing and sing they did.  They didn’t hold back and let us have it full blast and it was awesome.

June 1st found us singing back in Gilbertown, Alabama for the Heritage Festival Gospel sing on Friday night.  It was hot on that football field but we made it thru.  We were all soaked from sweat but still we had fun.  Last week Danny and I took our new project and went to the radio station to give them.  We got to meet the famous MS. LINDA SAMMONS from WINN 98.5 radio station.  Sunday night we were there and the rain was pounding and the lightning was flashing but we still had a great time.  She is one super nice lady and she played our CD and we had numerous phone calls from listeners.  It was nice to hear people call in and say they have been in concerts with us and how much they enjoyed it.  If you ever get the chance, tune in to Ms. Linda and listen to her Sunday night gospel show and request us.  We left there and went by 107.7 WPRN radio station in Butler, Alabama also.  We had another great time there.  So CRIMSON CITY is now in more than one radio station so we are getting to the big time.  Haha.

The new project is now available: FEEL GOOD FEELING

It may be purchased through the online music store or contacting us by e-mail or phone.

God Bless,
SPANKY
