March 2008
It’s finally here, that wonderful golden pollen. I’m sure everyone is doing just like me. Coughing, sneezing and just feeling terrible. It lets me know spring is here and the cold is about to give way to the heat. Why is it we are never satisfied? In the summer we turn on the AC to make it colder and in the winter we turn on the heat to make it hotter.  I guess that’s just life. I got

some exciting news last week. I was voted Choctaw County’s School Bus Driver of the year. It is voted on by the public so I feel honored to get this. I didn’t even vote for myself. haha

Last weekend, we were singing at the Creek Bank Singing in Mobile at Azalea Baptist Church with our good friends Grace Trio and Endless Praise. We always have a great time there. Everyone is so friendly and loves gospel singing. We tried something new with our singing and it went well I think. We purchased some new mics that look like they had long years ago. We use them when we are doing the old fashioned songs. We only use 2 mics and stand around them like they did in the good old days. So now we all have to be sure and brush our teeth and use mouthwash. hehe It is fun singing like that and a lot different than holding a mic in your hand.

We no longer ride in the big white bus. We now ride in a big brown bus. I finally saved enough money to have it painted. It looks totally different. We had several people ask us “when did we get a new bus?” I carried the bus to Classic Paint and Body shop in Wilmer AL and when I drove up the owner Johnny McDonald said that is one huge bus. He told me when he started trying to get it in his shop it got 10 foot longer. He said after he got it painted and he started trying to get it out of the shop it gained another 10 foot. So now we are riding in a 65 foot bus (Just Kidding). It’s long enough as it is. Hehe He did a great job on it. So if you need a bus or a truck painted give Johnny a call.

As you know the price of traveling is growing every day. We need your prayers that our financial needs will continue to be met. If you would like to contribute to our ministry financially we would greatly appreciate it. We need monthly supporters to help us keep spreading the gospel in song. If you cannot support us financially then we do ask you to become a prayer partner and pray for us as we travel from place to place. The devil would love to see this ministry and all ministries stopped and expenses is just one way he is in his fight.

God Bless
Spanky
